1990

GRS begins providing both business and consumer data from all over the world to a broad portfolio of clients at home and abroad, from small businesses and SOHO traders to major blue-chip corporations.

From the pioneering days of outputting data onto self-adhesive mailing labels, to floppy discs and magnetic tape for telephone and fax marketing campaigns through to the dawn of email broadcasting and beyond.

Our brokerage clients have included the Greater London Authority, IBM, Honeywell, Triton, Sage Software, Tiscali, Aiwa Electronics, St John’s Ambulance, Centaur Publishing, Norwich Union, Rentokil Initial, Sony, Zurich Financial Services, MORI, British Safety Council.

2003

GRS branches into email marketing by developing a specialist database focused on the ‘Facilities‘ and ‘Health & Safety’ sectors, pioneering what we believe was one of the first purpose-built B2B email marketing databases to be made commercially available in the UK.

2008

GRS adds a third level of contact to our E-File incorporating the ‘Environmental‘ sector.

2016 – 2018

With the introduction of GDPR, GRS implements all the new compliance criteria enabling our customers to continue using our data effectively and ethically to promote a wide variety of events, publications, products and services through both physical and online channels.

2023 and beyond

All three elements of our E-File database continue to develop and grow as does our portfolio of generous customer testimonials. Like every conscientious business, we keep a keen eye to the ‘competition’ but it would seem that we remain one of the few providers who retain the core values upon which every high end data operation should be built.

After coming through a challenging 2020/21, we continue to adapt our skill sets but remain true to certain key fundamentals that no advances in technology could – or should – ever replace quality over quantity, fair pricing and unrivalled personal service.
